What is the best kind of straightener?

At the moment, I own a "Herstyler" Zebra straightener. It is all right but I am wanting something better then that. Something hotter, that really steams when you use it. Something that glides down your hair like ice :). Also, something that is not going to cost me 100's of dollars. I have recentley heard about the "Chi" straightener. I have NO clue what they are like, because on my small town, on my small island, we don't have all that fancy "Chi" things. Could someone please explain to me the best model of "Chi" OR any other brand of straightener so I can buy it on ebay (:
