Need some advice?

I just started a new job after being unemployed for about six months. I work in the maint/janitorial industry at a condominium. The job is only five minutes from my house and its all day shifts. The job starting pay is $12.00/hr. I been working their for about a week and I dont like it. I have nothing against the people doing this type of job but it sucks. Im not discriminating against races but i work with all filipinios and there always speaking their language around me and are always laughing. I get the feeling that their talking about me. It bothers me. Another reason is that the guy training me told me to jump in the trash bin in the trash room to compress the trash. I said hell no, what if theres broken gl and I get cut, he said no your not going to get cut. I spoke to my supervisor about this and he told me that they have to do this to take as much trash as possible, and he told me to put a cardboard box and then step on it. I want to quit and i have interviews set up.pls hlp
